Memphis will finish its Conference USA regular season with two crucial matches over the weekend.
Friday, Memphis will host Southern Mississippi at 7 p.m. USM downed Memphis, 3-2, in the last meeting
between the two schools in Hattiesburg. Both teams are currently 2-12 in the league standings. Memphis
needs to win out its regular season to avoid a potential first-round match with host Charlotte
in the Conference USA Tournament, Nov. 16-18. The last three matches between USM and Memphis
have gone five games. The two opponents split a pair of 3-2 matches last year.
Saturday night, Memphis will host Tulane, which is coming off a 3-1 win over Houston, Nov. 3rd, in
New Orleans. Senior Kim Sentmore is one of the most explosive hitters in the conference, and
Tulane is currently 7-6 in league play. That match will also be senior night, where Tiger
senior April Harriman will be honored. Also being honored that night are seniors Anya Lukyanova and
Elizabeth Speck, the Tigers' manager and athletic trainer. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
