Memphis, Tenn.-- - The University of Memphis volleyball team will host three teams in the final week of regular season play, beginning Tuesday.

The Tigers will host the Christian Brothers Buccaneers for the first time since 1977 at 7 p.m., Tuesday, in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse. The match between the two Memphis schools will also be Team Night. Any local teams wishing to attend that night's match-up will be admitted for free. For more information, or to be included on the pass list for that night's match with your team, please call 678-4142.

Memphis will finish its Conference USA regular season with two crucial matches over the weekend. Friday, Memphis will host Southern Mississippi at 7 p.m. USM downed Memphis, 3-2, in the last meeting between the two schools in Hattiesburg. Both teams are currently 2-12 in the league standings. Memphis needs to win out its regular season to avoid a potential first-round match with host Charlotte in the Conference USA Tournament, Nov. 16-18. The last three matches between USM and Memphis have gone five games. The two opponents split a pair of 3-2 matches last year.

Saturday night, Memphis will host Tulane, which is coming off a 3-1 win over Houston, Nov. 3rd, in New Orleans. Senior Kim Sentmore is one of the most explosive hitters in the conference, and Tulane is currently 7-6 in league play. That match will also be senior night, where Tiger senior April Harriman will be honored. Also being honored that night are seniors Anya Lukyanova and Elizabeth Speck, the Tigers' manager and athletic trainer. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
