Spring 2007: Tied for the team lead with seven singles wins on the season, including a 3-10 mark in dual season play...Was 3-8 at No. 4 signles and 0-2 at No. 3 during her first spring season...Teamed with Flavia Russo for a 4-9 mark in doubles, including an 0-4 mark at No. 3 doubles...Also teamed with Katie-Mary Outhwaite for a 2-3 mark in doubles, including a 1-0 mark at No. 2 and a 1-3 mark at No. 3..Was also 0-2 at No. 2 doubles with senior Christina Wieser and 0-1 at No. 2 with Dara Toulch.
Fall 2006: Went 4-5 in singles during her first semester of collegiate tennis...Picked up her first career singles victory at the UALR Invitational, defeating Alcorn State's Martina Garda, 6-1, 6-2...Finished fifth in the Flight 9 singles bracket at the Air Force Invitational, defeating Northern Arizona's Stephanie Randall in a super tiebreak, 6-3, 6-7, 11-9...Won her first home match, defeating Stephen F. Austin's Mary Harrison, 6-1, 6-2, before falling to Campbell's Nina Surviladze in straight sets...Also teamed with Flavia Russo in doubles...The tandem was 2-3 in doubles for the fall season.
Prep: Has been a provincially-ranked junior in her native Canada for nine years and was a finalist at the last Newmarket Girls U18 tournament....Ranked No. 30 in the U18 singles rankings in the Ontario Tennis Association Rankings...Was the No. 1 player on the Trafalgar Castle School's U20 Tennis team from 2001-2006...Helped Trafalgar to its first-ever championship in 2005...Won the Girls U18 Rosedale Competition in 2004...Was also a bronze medalist from the Ontario Summer Games in the team competition and a silver medalist in the ladies doubles in 2004...Was also a semifinalist in ladies doubles at the OFSAA tournament.
Personal: Born Sept. 19, 1988...Daughter of David and Laurie Brown...Was the program's second signee out of Canada for the 2006-07 recruiting class, joining Montreal's Dara Toulch.
