The game between Memphis and Vermont has been suspended in the top of the fifth with the Tigers leading 3-1.

ROCK HILL, S.C. - The University of Memphis Saturday softball game with Vermont in the Winthrop/adidas Invitational has been suspended due to inclement weather in the area and will be resumed on Sunday at 10 a.m. (EST) on Field B. Saturday's match-up with Furman has been postponed and will be played following the Tigers' game with Vermont on Field C at approximately 11 a.m.

Sunday's tournament bracket has been canceled.

The Memphis-Vermont game was suspended in the top of the fifth inning with the U of M leading 3-1. The Tigers are at the plate with two outs and sophomore Leigh Rowan on second base. Senior Melissa Nance is up to bat with a count of 0-1.

Junior Leila Dolfo led off the game with a solo home run to left center. Redshirt freshman Heather Mott and junior Leandra Hines also have RBI singles in the game. Memphis is out hitting Vermont 7-2.
