MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis men's tennis team (6-8) bounced back from a 4-3 loss on Friday with a 4-3 victory on Saturday in non-conference action over Southern Illinois.

This time it was the Tigers who got on the board first with a pair of victories at No. 2 and 3 doubles as the team of Leon Nasemann and Jimmy Khougassian won their No. 2 doubles match, 8-5, while the team of Spencer Heflin and Jordan Smith won their No. 3 doubles match, 8-3.

Benny Fischer then won his match at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0 for a 2-0 Memphis lead before Sebastian Rubiano scored SIU's first point of the match with a win at No. 5 singles. Memphis then closed out the win with singles victories at No. 4 and 3 singles to pick up the win.

Southern Illinois battled back from second set losses to win super tiebreakers at the top two singles spots to close out the afternoon.
