Patrick Byrne was the Tigers' starting quarterback for the Ole Miss game.

 Byrne's 2005 season lasted three offensive plays before he suffered a season-ending injury.

 Senior tight end John Doucette was one of three captains for the Tigers. All three were from the New Orleans area.
Will Hudgens came into the game in the first quarter.

 Doucette had one catch for 11 yards.

 DeAngelo Williams averaged 3.5 yards per carry against Ole Miss.






Over 53,000 people were in attendance at the Labor Day game.

 Junior college transfer Michael Gibson saw his first playing time as a Tiger.

 Stephen Gostkowski was 2-for-2 in field goals, including a long of 47 yards.
